googlewhack

I’m sad to say that I have a new pastime while the wife watches American Idol: googlewhack. One enters two word combinations into google until there is only one response. Particle Man, effective procrastination methods, 2004 particleman.og, at http://www.particleman.org/index.php?id=501. I tried for a while until I finally found something useful from civ pro; ā€œPennoyer sporkā€ returned only one.

glad you're enjoying the procrastinative devices. don't let the wife catch you on Supermodel Personals, though. you'll get smacked. i won't be held responsible for any battery committed on my part.

I prefer the Kevin Bacon game, with various twists. Law school twist:
Pennoyer v. Neff was mentioned in Cheers by John Ratzenberger, who was in Empire Strikes Back with Carrie Fisher, who was in Blues Brothers with John Belushi, who was in Animal House with Kevin Bacon.

I don't even want to know how that case could come up in a sit com.

oh yeah, and a better link to cite would be: http://www.particleman.org/index.php?id=501

the link you posted takes you to every law-related post. the link above takes you to just the post you mention.

For a while, I was entering words that I selected at random from the dictionary--e.g., "steamshovel cummerbund".

My new favorite game is to enter random words into the Google Image Search. I was pleased to learn that "oog" is apparently the Dutch word for "eye".

Umm, I got three hits for "Pennoyer Spork," not counting your site. :-)
